I'd select a mobo with pin 939. Also you would want PCI-E.

There last generation is fine. The current has terrible stock fans in them you have to get replaced. They have poor oveclockability and lots have been faulty.

so the recommended list so far is:

    MSI K8N Neo4/SLI
    GOOD: great onboard audio
BAD: chipset fan is so close to the pcie slots that it gets 'in the way'

    DFI LanParty nF4 SLI-DR
GOOD: i like how its designed with the ram slots on top (the same way my mobo is set up now)
BAD: chipset fan is so close to the pcie slots that it gets 'in the way' and the jumper changing for sli is annoying

    ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
Just not up to par with the other two

so im torn between teh dfi and the msi

I believe they are the same price so i would get the DFI over the MSI. If you wish to overclock and you are new to it I would get the MSI.

asus has better integrated audio, but less overclock abilities.

msi k8n is probably your best bet.
