Ok get some fonts here Dafont.com And Look around for some fonts you like, second you have to put them into Photoshops Font Folder.

    ]Windows 98[
    c:\program files\Common files\adobe\fonts
    ]-------------[

As for Xp, Im not entirly Sure but it must be the same thing just in your Users (your xp acc name) Folder.

Someone correct me if im wrong plz.

I have never used that, I have always used the pen. How effective is that filter? How do you use it? I tried one image, highlighted it but it didnt give me the option to click ok, just cancel. :P So i dont know how you can use that.

Yea pen rules. Try using some clone stamp also if applicable, and some feathering for rendering hair, etc.
