Dual Monitor

    I have 1 LCD
    and 1 CRT
    I have one plugged into my graphics card (Radeon 9800 Pro) Tehres a white connector, then i took a thing(like a female-male changer) where it conects into then tun it into a monitor connector.

    But only 1 turns on, the other has the green light, but no display, If I changed the resolution I see a flicker on the black screen. SOmeone guide me please.

    go to desktop properties, go to the settings tab, do you see two monitors in there? if not, it is not set up for it. maybe go into control pannel and mess with ATI's settings... I dunno, never used ATI, just what I know...

    Yeah Primary is my LCD which says "Plug and Play Monitor - radeon.etc)
    Then 2nd is the IBM the new old one I just connected. It has a lighted screen but its black, it will flicker when reso is changed.

    Goto the following:

    Right Click-->Properties-->Settings-->Advanced-->Displays

    You should be able to switch on the other monitor there. If you dont see that tab, make sure you have the latest ATI drivers installed.

    Yeah done that, when I clcik extend desktop them onitor flickers and stays somehwat light.

    Can someone screen---- theyr rightclick->properties->settings box?

    I guess there is a chance the 2nd monitor doesnt work properly. Try switching them round just to make sure its OK.

    It works vice-versa. Both are good monitors.

    I live next to M.C. Hammer
    make sure both monitors are on the same exact resolution, that's what this problem sounds like.

    Eh I tried a pro forum they couldn't get it so

    this is /done.

    Yeah dude. I've done everything possible. something is just gheyd on my PC.

    goto you local tech shop and ask for help, no one will make fun of you, and if your nice they will help for free.

    Do you have the second monitor turned on? There is an ATi monitor menu where you can enable/disable each one.

    that wont work.

    IF you look at his screenshot it shows his PC doesnt even detect the gfx card.
