This started a long time ago and its gotten worse and worse

Everytime i click IE, or a link on MSN (which opens up IE) etc. It quickly says

'Internet Exploer has encountered a problem and needs to close' blah blah.

It happens everytime. At the moment I'm using firefox but it would be great to have IE working again for some purposes. I've tried reinstalling IE to no avail. Right now its uninstalled

Is there a way to fix this problem without opening the IE browser (since i can't anyway)? Formatting seems to be the only solution right now but I'd rather not

Still switch over to firefox and only use IE for proper reasons like Windows Update or something. :P

sorry bout last post was in hurry. ill do a step by step now, first update everything to do with windows then if that doesnt work try this:

    go to start > run

    type in command

    type into the consol sfc/scannow

thenit should ask for your windows cd this will restore all of you system files with out touching your other file this might fix the problem.
