I made a mistake -lol I needed a 24pin power cable for the Mobo but bought a 20pin instead forgot to look at the pins - So atm im confused and duno if it will work or not ;( ;( someone enlighten me - I can find a adpater but not sure if it will make a difference - Plus theres something called a ATX12V its a 4pin connector which i duno where to go

This build is like 3days old and it is my first build someone tell me something about the power supply if it has enough power to power up the mobo with 20pins - I researched that the 4pins left is for the PCI-E x16 slots but duno?

edit: and my dead computers, and what they had:

50mhz Laptop. Don't know too much. only floppy drive, 300mb HDD, cicnchy sound, 32 or 64 mb of ram, never found out. AHad Win95 on it before it all corrupted, and my floppy drive went down. Never got it to work again...

133mhz CTX computer, the last model before the company went under. had 128mb RAM, 6gb HDD, had nothing onboard except the keyboard. Broke a Primary IDE pin on the motherboard, its bios got messed up, and the lithion battery died, and a new one didn't fix it. It also couldnt read a single hard drive...

So you know... the 20-pin connector will work in the 24-pin slot. ;)

It should set just off the right of the guidance piece that would lock a 24-pin into the motherboard.

You'll also need to take the 4-pin connector... (the 2X2 one, not the 4X1) and plug it in somewhere near the processor on the motherboard.

    As for my specs...

Aspire X-Cruiser Silver Case w/ 420 wt PSU.
    AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice 1GHz FSB Socket 939 E6 Processor
CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory
240 GB HDD space on two internal drives.
    160 GB External HDD
    Logitech MX518 931352-0403 2-Tone 8 Buttons 1x Wheel USB + PS/2 Optical Mouse
SAMSUNG Black IDE DVD Burner Model TS-H552U/BEBN
    Fujiplus FP-988D Silver-Black 19" 12ms LCD Monitor
    BenQ x120Pro 2-Tone USB + PS/2 Wired Slim Keyboard
    AOpen GF6600GT-DV128 Geforce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card

And I love every bit of it btw. :D
