Most overrated hardcore/metal band would have to be (in my honest opinion) either Mudvayne or Otep. They both irritate the ever-loving s*** out of me. Just to add, more people need to listen to bands like Meshuggah or Psyopus.
Honestly more people need to listen to classic rock and get out of this bull---- "metal" phase. BTW; Otep isn't that bad for having a female lead singer...
Oh, don't get me wrong, I love the old stuff, but I've been playing guitar for 20+ years, and the newer stuff impresses me, and challenges my skills as a player more than the old standards. ..........Although 'Led Zep IV' has been in my CD player for about ten years. ^_^
