Aim Virus

    ok, im stupid and clicked one of those links so i got a virus. :(

    i dont know where it is(folder) or how to get rid of it? I have "spy subtract:venus fly trap" and McAfee Security. I really need help on this one, it really gets annoying ...thank you


    oh yea, its the virus that puts up my away message saying,"hey look at the new pictures from the beach!" and has a link. :(

    ya i pupt up a somewhat good tut on how to get rid of it

    but there are other ideas if mine doesn't work for you

    Here is the best way to get rid of most virus's

    1) Turn off System Restore - stores some virus's when it saves your files for system restore

    2)Run spybot search and destroy - www.downloads.com

    3) Ctrl + Alt + Del then check for any unknown running processes, under your name(on xp)

    4) delete any folders in program folder

    if that doesn't get what you are getting owned by then i dk what will
