These are the best programs that you don't have to take chances with.

Firewall: Zone Alarm Created by the good people at Zone Labs, The firewall is free and the bought version comes is some uber features such as Hacker locator, If someone tries to hack you (Which they can't with Zone Alarm) it will tell you were they are located based on their IP address.

Anti-Virus: Norton Antivirus, A lot of people don't like Norton because it takes a while to scan your whole computer but! It automatically will tell you when a virus is detected or when a virus is detected in your email and if it was downloaded onto your computer it will tell you what actions it took to try and stop it (But of course then you must manually scan with Norton to find and delete it)

    Spyware/Adware remover: Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware.

These are good but for some reason adaware always freezes my computer at the very last step. Is this supposed to happen?

ya thoes are good but they are major spywere themselves. Once u download them they send info back to their servers and whoever owns that program knows what u r doin.

i downloaded Adware Personal SE and it kept tryin to get on my other comp cuz im linked thru a wireless connection

    Thankfully i have a firewall

so just to warn u all be carefull of what spywere and adwere u download.
