My First Render

im new to this foruma and new to rendering

i just made this dragon render and i need some comments on it. please tell if if it's any good and how to improve it. thanks ^_^

I've never seen it. It would look great in a sig, gj, cred if i use.

 

good job looks like there is a little black outline around the wing...but great job looks amazing

 

i think part of the reason it looks good is because it's already a bone dragon, which means it's already edgy and stuff, so a bad render doesn't show lol

im probably going to make sig out of it too.

EDIT:

yea i have to get rid of some of the background on the edges,and some black spots on the teeths and stuff, i just noticed them now that you've mentioned it lol, thanks.

 

It's not bad. A little polygonal on wings and paw.

Should save as png with alpha transparency cause if anyone plans on using they'd have to rerender the spine. And saving jpg loses some amounts of quality, depending on your setting.

 

alpha transparency? i have to go read about that.. >.<

i read in the rendering tutorial that:

it didn't mention png. so i guess i should use that from now on.

 

jpg may be more colorful than gif, but it's a lossy format.

png and tiff are lossless.

Looks good. How long did it take you ?

 

Not bad especially if its your first time. The body is great just the wings look choppy, and yes im most likley making a sig with it! I will +cred if I do.

Crazy... I did one JUST like it. Not trying to say you ripped it cause I can tell they are different, just think its weird we have the exact same render... check mine out. Its on Planet-Renders.com
