You're a better guitarist than me??? ROFL LMFAO Battle me then you faggot! Not only are those bands insanely rubbish but you have one of gothics most hated bands - Cradle Of Faith. I'll kick your ass biatch.
OH YEAH, WELL YOU PROLLY LIVE IN AMERICA, im over it. i live in australia. theres no point in fighting you, anyway, what kinda guitar do you have?
I live in United Kingdom actually and i have a epiphone gibson les paul with a 60 watt Line 6 Spider Amp and a wah wah pedal. You're right we might aswell not fight...there's no point lol
K. I have an Ibanez GTO, and 80 ashton amp and a zoom 505mk II pretty crap, but it does it until i earn enough from work
actually dude, I started playing bass before guitar. I was learning bass for like a month, then i decided to get into guitar cuz I wanted to learn all those crazy power chords and stuff. Some of the stuff you said is true, like its easy to learn bass and stuff, but dude, its just as easy to learn guitar in my opinion. Bass takes a lot of consistency and I think the only real tough part about bass is reading clef, but I dont think a lot of bands use bass clef anyways, tabs are twice as easy and efficient in my opinion, but i'm learning bass clef anyways. But dude, speakin of solos and stuff. Yur right about bass being a low tone in the background, but that's really only for hardcore heavy metal and death metal dude. I mean, 99.9 percent of the heavy metal and death metal bands out there sound like they dont even have a bass player behind all the drums and screaming and power chords. But there are a lot of bands that have awesome bass in them. Like a lot of bands use bass riffs at the begining of there songs to start it off in a cool way. A lot of my favorite songs are my favorites becuase of the awesome bass dude. LIKE GORRILAZ FOR INSTINCE. I mean, that just turns everything you said about bass right around on you dude, becuase the gorrillaz have an awesome bassist and you can REALLY hear it. I just dont think its fair that you are talking crap about bass not being able to be heard. You know why you cant hear it? Becuase the only music you listen to is hardcore heavy metal. I mean, I dont hate heavy metal, I love heavy metal and all that, but still, you gotta give credit to all those crazy ass bassists out there. You just havent heard them.
I understand what you're saying. Bass is very cool in some songs and it can turn the whole song around, like red hot chilli peppers (I don't like them) but I think the bassist is really good and yes in gorillaz (e.g Feel Good Inc.) But what I was saying is that bass isn't really that popular in heavy metal and rock bands. Some bands are simply amazing and you can't really hear the bass so they don't really need one.
wow your REALLY dumb, you have no clue what your talking about. Try taking the bass away in most songs and you will hear a BIG difference, even in heavy metal. Also because sometimes you cant hear it dosent mean they dont need one.
Hey, i play bass im in 2 bands and maybe joining a serious band soon...i have a fender pbass thats all ----ed up from wehre i use it too much its black with a custom scratch plate...i got some fx pedals too...a EH Double Muff, Zoom 607, ds-1, and a boss super chorus...
only if you are realaxed about it. yes bass can be easier than guitar and generally is but the parts for it can still be increadibly complex. http://www.burn-the-priest.com/flash/wimpy...s&popUpHelp=yes tell me if the bassist here sounds like he failed...
that's true zelink, there are always exceptions. to mr. bones, yes that's my heelflip Some bass players are so innovative, like Tim from R.A.T.M. / Audioslave. Fieldy from Korn was also really good but i never liked korn too much
