I went from old school Chevy's to drop top porches
You couldn't walk a mile off in my Air Forces
And you ain't seen what I've seen
I can get a 100,000 in these Sean John jeans
I went from old school Chevy's to drop top porches
And you ain't did what I did
If you from where I'm from you gotta get how you live

Everybody already know jeezy real street nigga
Every time you see me all around street niggaz
I hope you got yours I keep mine
In the club blowing dro throwing up gang signs
    And you already know dog
745 back to back me and O dog
    These other niggaz is jokers
What they rein up wit I spent it up all the strokers
In one night eight bitches sipped bottles of cris
Forty grand sit back so you can glance my wrist
Keep bread so we carry dem toaster
But keep back though my earrings ferocious
    It's not just my imagination
I'm the one in the topic in yo conversation

Jack boyz say they gon rob
But on the real ---- niggaz y'all don't want these problems

    [Chorus]

Black tees, black ones, and a fitted cap
The Mack 11 make me walk wit a crazy dap
Y'all say we country niggaz yee-haw
The money comin back and forth like a seesaw
And y'all ain't never seen what we saw
Stacks of twenty dollar bills, bricks, or white rolls
What they got Lil Pha we don't care bout ----
Ludacris how they ride out twenty wit dem bricks
    ---- I spit it for y'all
On the real my niggaz ---- I spit it for y'all
Who gives a ---- about friends?
If you mix the baking soda wit it you can get a Benz
    While y'all robbing and boosting
I'm standing over the stove like the chef in Houston
And it's not about the flip mane
Want the real bread it's all about your whip game[/quote]

Have you actually looked at the lyrics to that or do you just listen to the beat? Thats absolute crap...You can kinda tell also by all the curses in the song..If a song needs to curse that much in it then its probly just crap.

But hey we are all entitled to our own opinions yes?

^Yes you are entitled to your opinion.
Just as I think rock, metal, etc have the beat so loud that you can't even hear what the singer is saying. Also I have always liked rap and never even tried listening to rock. When i did yesterday (friend made me) I couldn't understand it.
Some people would rather listen to something that can get them moving then listen to some guys with make up tlaking about their feelings.
I like tupac. His songs have a meaning "thugs mansion, changes, till the end of time, runnin, I can keep going."
He always has a direction to go with and never goes off track.
But like you said.. my opinion.

Well your friend probly listens to crap metal :P well ok I like some screaming bands too but Death Metal is just bad...

anyways, I always just found rock to have amazing lyrics, and the people really sing..rap is just talking to a beat, which I personally dont like.

EDIT: btw didnt try to offend anyone with my views on music so sorry if I did.. :P

my friend, singing is Aretha Franklin, Paul McCartney, celine dion (yes I said it), and i can keep going.
These people actually sang and used their voices. Rap, rock, etc is not singing. it's basically talking fast. Nowadays I don't even think there is music.
I think good lyricists in this age with rap are Jay-z and tupac.
Listen to this and tell me that rap makes no sense and is a bunch of guys talking about bitches and money.
I took the link off. I'll upload some other time.

i like rap, but the songs i actualy can stand to listen to are the good ones. like from beastie boys, biggy and some others. i personaly dont know why everyone likes tupac so much, yes he writes about good things but his songs just dont sound good to me. i am also a huge rock fan, i like some screamo stuff but i mostly hate it. the good rock bands are the industrial ones like NIN and tool and others. but it all depends what you like, i listen to all types of music basicaly whatever im in the mood for.
