What Is The Best Forum?

what do you like the best forum software?

 

I choose phpBB because its the only one I've installed and know how to use/modify. Oh and its free.

 

I like VB more , some nice skins

 

Vb all da way , its jsut the best

 

I choose IPB because 1.3 Final is free and can use ALL the features and mods and skins of a paid version of it.

It's the most secure, and has the best mods. Phpbb has just about the same mods, except is ALOT less secure.

Do you guys pay for the IPB if you upgrade it? Or is it safe to rip it and install it?

 

It's really hard to install IPB, that's why I am going with VBulletin

 

Is your vBulletin illegal?? I'm trying to make a forum, I made a thread, I'm not sure whether to use vBulletin or IPB, and whether installing illegal versions is safe,

 

Ummm IPB isn't illegal if it's "Final". And IPB is very easy to install...

 

One more comment about cracks for IPB and you will be suspended, not a great way to start here at GR.

 

No talk about cracked software here. IPB is easy to install just upload the files and run the installer.

I chose IPB, I have 2 boards with IPB on it. Second choice would be VB.

 

Sorry, I was unaware of the rules. Ill be sure to not do it again. I always thought vBulletin had the better protection. I wish I had the skills to install this stuff lol -_-

You can learn to install any forum. They generally come with instructions that walk you through it. I installed IPB by myself with no prior experience.
