damage your muscle greatly, 50 times a day, without giving it any chance to recover and grow.

THATS OVERTRAINING AND IS LIKELY TO RESULT IN INJURY, WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THOSE TWO DUMBELS/SINGLE BARBEL FELL ON YOU IN MID WORKOUT? IT HAPPENS, THATS WHY MOST PEOPLE HAVE A SPOTTER.

DO NOT DO THE SAME THING DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR MUSCLES TO BE REALLY SMALL AND SHOW LITTLE GAINS, IF YOU ARE GOING FOR SIZE AND STRENGTH THIS IS STUPID.

if you are going for really hard, high endurance muscle(smaller in size though) then do work in the 20-30s rep-range with less weight and mroe sets and only to it 2-4 times a week with atleast on days rest between workouts for a muscle group, preferably closer to the 2 times a week side

I've been trying to get into shape...
I'm doing 5 sets of 10 reps at 70 pds and just jogging alot.. That and dieting can help. Also crunches/pushups help tone muscle.

EDIT:Rofl at the dude who said 300 pounds, I doubt he's been outside his house in a long time.

EDIT: read the other posts, and zelink is right.. My to be basketball coach and my ex hockey coach (I quit hockey, but we still keep in contact cuz he taught me alot) both told me to go easy and just build up on it, slowly. I've been working since school started, as much as I can.. And I'm getting bigger. I think jogging helped me the most, though. Helped me lose pounds and gain muscles :P But there was some sweet forum I seen a while before that could really help you with losing weight.. If I find it I'll post here, it was real good :P

I usually do different things each day... today i was working out with weights... yesterday i was doing sprints, push ups, leg exercises, basketball drills... Sometimes ill go running for a while, sometimes ride my bike on steep hills and stuff.. It's best if you switch it up, and work all parts of your body. That way, your muscles will grow evenly, and you will have all your muscles growing, and it won't get boring.

umm, pullups don't hit those a ton, they hit the abs throughout for the most part, but only with secondary focus and they mostly hit yout upperback, your lats in particular.

to get a good lowrback, do dead lifts(helps with legs too) I admit, my lowerback is on the pathetic side since I have never been able to do a dead lift with more than 50lbs of weight.

as for abs, regular crunches with weight. THat crunch which seemed easy at only body weight becomes a bitch when your holding 50lbs above your head and you keep it and your arms strait with your crunch and cheat it. for abs, reps in the 15-30 range are good, depending on your condition.

I also want to point out that unless you are voerly week, running won't help you with muscle gain in your legs too much, though cardio does help with blod flow and helps clear out lactic acid helping your muscles recover a bit

    as for a good site...

see - not being racist - but black people (me) don't have to really do alot of ---- to get ripped

you run - you always movin friends - your always doing something

but what zelink said is very true - maintain a healthy diet is the biggest part to getting in shape - excercising and working out are essential to burning fat, gaining muscle

    my body mass = 89 % muscle - 6'4 219

I notived that too. I hate n*****s like ronnie because they have it easy... DAMN YOUR EXTRA TESTOSTERONE!!!

I'm starting to get ripped though, it's all about low bodyfat% abd muscle tight enough to stretch your skin. my arms and upper-back are cut enough to be considered ripped, but the rest of my body is a little behind

as for my body mass, i have no idea how much of it is muscle, but I assume 89% would for you to die from your own weight, ronny who has won olypia and weighs something over 300lbs with about 1%body fat, only has at the most 70% muscle. people have internal organs... they weight a bit... heh. I assume you meant you had 11% body fat. That is really lean IMO, somewhat cut.

as for me, I self guestimate my body fat to range between 4%-8% depending on how clean I eat.

EDIT: I AM NOT RACIST, I was just making a point
EDIT2: heres a pic of ronny, he's freaaking huge, http://www.germany.ru/wwwthreads/files/31-...207-ronny-3.jpg

all; since your abdominal muscles are used at over 60%(as they are in crunches) it is safe to say that crunches can hit all of your abs. FYI, leg lifts don't even really hit abs, they hit an area near the abs which isn't too significant for abdominal definition/size just do crunches, reverse crunches and squats/dead lifts for your abs.
