Seriously i've been asking myself what's happening in the entire GFX-community lately.
People don't want to share tutorials (smudgestyle omg) or brushes they downloaded themselves on deviantart.
And what's so hard to give people real CnC?!
I don't envy newbies these days FOR ONE BIT! No-one seems to be willing to help people at all.
I mean if you look at cg-talk or conceptart.org where they do stuff that take way more skill and time they help people like their live is depending on it.
I wish the "sig-community" could do this as well.
Isn't it fun to help people actually getting better?

Is there anyone else thinking this way, plz give me your opinion.

PS: keep this spam- and flamefree plz :)

I hardly agree, people wont give things away for FREE..I can understand the .PSD facts, but tutorials and brushes should be free.

    I agree..

Some people really need to work on their criticism and learn how to give Contructive criticism...

And tutorials are made to help people but you got them paying for the help? Thats not too cool in my opinion..especially if they will end up being free in the end..

i know, but it doesn't explain the fact that no-one wants to give out proper cnc anymore.
the newbies can really use it

i agree, people dont give advice or tips, even if you ask them in your thread (this only applies to the people that dont, like Slingy) and i think its annoying. all they can say is "its okay" "not bad" and stuff like that. i want real advice, like how to improve, or what i could make better. and as for the rating out of 10 only a few people give me that. and .PSD's sholdn't be free, brushes shouldn't if you made them yourself, and tuts should be free.

Well, I have to agree with you guys here. Everyone is credit hungry and are not willing to give up anything without getting something in return.

I don't really agree, the reason I make tuts and psd packs is because a lot of the tuts where pish when I started gfx. I like to think if people watch my vids then they'll get a better start than I ever had.

As for noobs, I think alot of people get sick of answering the same questions over and over, when I started I didn't ask for jack, I went and looked, it ain't that hard to find brushes and tuts. These days it seems noobs don't even put in the effort, they expect other people to post links to good brushes/tuts, it gets tiring after a while and people react in a negative manner.

If I was a noob I wouldn't really feel that GR was the best place to post if I was looking for help. I've got over 700 posts and a rep of 90, I can't say I know anyone here and I doubt anyone would bat an eyelid if I said I'm leaving GR. If your new, you'd be better sticking to a smaller community.
