yeah saw that on another site a few minutes ago. It will outperform the nvidia 7 series however I dont see how considering they are still only using 18 pipelines compared to the 7800GTX which uses 24.
more pipelines doesn't always mean more power, Intel processors are able to hit higherclocks because of their pipeline, but it also make it more vulnerable to error and a waste in clocks, time flushing the pipeline and performance per clock as is the nature of an increased pipeline.

[/b][/quote] Well see, that's different. Intel's pipeline problem stems mainly because of the length of the pipelines. They are so long that data travel is actually hindered. AMD's pipes are relatively shorter, plus the memory controller is built onto the chip. Anyhow, I think the X1800XT is only able to keep up with the GTX because the memory is clocked so damn high. It's gonna be hard to manufacture a lot of cards with memory that fast. I'll stick to my GTX
About time my heros came out with a new card. I think I will stick with my x850xt for now but this is definitely worth a look at ~bLiNd

I'll trade you my 9250 for it, it has a higher number so it must be better...

Great card, and the mobo isn't half bad either. It's running my 4400+ at 2.6GHz no sweat, and the RAM is running at DDR480. Great motherboard for the money (free).
