So I came home today to find that my dad bought me Photoshop CS and I'm going crazy right now because he won't let me install it. Anyways, I was wondering if there's a major difference between CS and CS2 what exactly are the differences?

God, after sometime using PS6 I can finally install custom brushes and stuff. So happy. :D

wow..PS6, thats old. Some of the differnce will be that you get a new interface with CS and that stuff. As you said before you get to install brushes. Also you get Image ready, not sure if you got it with 6. We use 5 at my school...it sucks.

i was dissapointed with CS 2, as i already had CS before. i couldn even see the difference except toe colour of the logo. there are a few features like the vanishing point tool, but its pretty pointless IMO.

Here is the only difference between CS and CS2 that is actually usefull. With CS2 you get a preview of fonts as you scroll through them.

On the downside, CS2 moves WAY slower than regular CS. If your not running at least a P4 2.8 GHZ it will strain your system and that is rediculous.

If your upgrading to CS from 5 or 6 you have a big reason to be excited!

CS2, for all intensive purposes, sucks. I bought it [student rate] and installed it. When I found out how much it sucked, I uninstalled it and returned it, and popped in my CS1 CD. PSCS1 is so much better.

CS2 has about 5 new filters and a Spot Healing tool, but it loads more slowly and it's not as smooth. Basically, CS1 is the leaner version, with none of that extraneous crap. :)
