Maybe you have two default users.

    Ok here's what you do:

    go to:
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

And see if you have two default folders. If you do go in both and find the biggest and oldest HTML bookmarks document, cut it and paste it in the folder with the smallest and newest HTML bookmarks document.

Then all your bookmarks should be back..

Also for the logging in problem, maybe it's your Cookies or Cache?

And if you still get problems. I highly suggest swtiching over to Opera. Which is now free ;)
Its very similar to FF in many ways. Tabbed browsing, downloadable themes, etc etc. :)

Or we can just let him use FF if he wants..

Also to see if you have multi profiles kind of quicker before doing that go to Start<run<firefox -p

had the same problem over the weekend. Restarted my computer and got on firefox and EVERYTHING was gone on it. I was dissapointed but not a huge loss.

Id benefit from whoever figures it out too

I had this problem a while ago. All my bookmarks lost. So I deleted/uninstalled it and reinstalled it. There really isn't a solution. It's a problem with the profile folder in firefox. Sorry can't really help you get your bookmarks back.

    Are you blind?

I already said it was the profiles.
