Illustrator Vs Photoshop..

    When do you use Photoshop and when do you use Illustrator.. I just want to know the majority of us use Illustrator and photoshop for......

    illustrator is mainly for vector art, whereas photoshop is for raster art, the kind most people are used to. illustrator is used for company logos, billboards etx

    Yea, I've only used photoshop before, how is illustrator?

    Illustrator, if im thinking of the right thing, is like Adobes version of Fireworks, in that it does similar things. As hoffy said, vector drawing.
    Whereas photoshop is for editing images themselves.

    Photoshop is for making rasterised stuff, like sigs and not-so-big pieces, Illustrator is for making clean sharp images that can be enlarged to any size you want.

    photoshop can also do vectors just not as smooth as illustrator
