i use firefox, but i dont like it cause it wont play music videos on myspace i have to switch to ie for that
I use IE7 beta sometimes, it isn't that bad, I don't get popups because i have SP2 and it does support transparent .pngs. As for IE 6, that is just plain stupidity. I highly suggest using FF or opera, even avant (which is IE based if I am not mistaken) is better than IE

For a time i really was a good browser it did alot of things better than its competitors til' it had no competitors but now its still an okay browser allthough there are many that are better than it doesn't make it the worst thing ever. You make a good point that IE doesn't have tabbed browsing i can't but agree that is a major flaw, but for the average user IE will do just fine without tabbed browsing and a bit faster speed. And for one thing using gay as an insult is just stupid, and for another thing you can't make out someones sexual preferance from the browser they use unless its "GayFox - the browser for men who love men"(not saying FF is gay just an example) or something like that. -FF user
download the latest version of quicktime from apple. Also, I found that when i tried to use an older version i had to DL the windows 98/ME version because the 2000/xp version was junk. try to get the 98 version of quicktime, if not just try the newest version for xp. It worked for me(now, i regret it because myspace music is annoying)

Can do just as much as fox, skins, tabbed, popup blocker and whatever else you need. BTW, I use fox everyday in conjuction with Avant Browser, it just pisses me off that everyone keeps on making the same topics over and over. TRY THAT BROWSER.

As i said, its a matter of how knowledgable the user is. As for whoever said Internet Explorer doesn't have tabs, thats a matter of preference. I like it sometimes, other times i don't. If i need to use tab browsing, i use CrazyBrowser; which uses the same built as Internet Explorer, but offers tabbed browsing and a pop up blocker. Its a matter of choice and what sort of sites you visit. Since i visit mostly forum-based sites, i don't have to worry about a pop up blocker. If all you do is jack off and visit porn/warez site..then yes, firefox security would be the best for you.
Well, I just use Firefox because I am used to it. Internet Explorer is well, not bad, but its just a bit slower for me and is not as customizable as Firefox. A browser really doesn't keep you safe from the really nasty stuff. I have to go to some sites that might have spyware, but that is why I have my trusty Nod32 AV / Firewall. I don't understand why people still make these topics. Whoever chooses to defend a program to the death (like some who have posted in this topic), is a tad too obsessive, if you know what I mean.
I second it, well said! Knowing you, .:[R]:., you always have the answer. It's all up to choice. No one can make someone use any program, you can only suggest and bring out the main points. I am getting sick of people that start these dumb threads... Why can't everyone just chill? As long as we see the same content in a page, what should we care what they use?
