Frankly, im still not sure if this should go here, but im pretty sure it doesn't go anywhere else (because im not sure if this qualifies as requesting rendering or what...). Also, i do know im like super-brand new here, so pardon me if i happen to do something wrong... I'm just really curious as to how to people make renders of console game characters... i (somewhat) understand the whole process of doing it on a computer, but how do you do it on the console? do you hook it up to your computer and run it through it and screen shot that? I'd be quite thankful if someone could explain the process 'cause i wouldnt mind learning and attempting it myself. Ivy
People generally just use images they find on other sites and cut the charaters out. The pictures they used can be recorded by using some kind of screen capture device.
no no no this guy is asking how we could make renders of screenshots from like consoles like ps2, xbox, gamecubve well honestly im not sure :S.....i tihnk they just find those pics on the internet
yes, thats what im asking, i thought you guys might now hows thats done (the taking shots from the consoles), i know you can get them off the internet, but how did those get there? so i guess the basic flat out question is how do you screen capture the console stuff?
They got there from the people that created the game. And some people who record the console game itself and simply take a screenshot. But mostly it's pictures released by the game creators themselves.
wait i think i know its maybe cuz the games are out on pc and they can screenshot it there and yea...
not *every* game that is released on consoles go to pc, so please, i was not asking for smart ass replys, go occupy your time elsewhere...
Yea, a lot of the time the renders are from game sites that have taken the pics, or you can have a capture card hooked to your tv, then you can record a game and put it on your computer, thennn take pictures from that... It is pretty complicated though, so it is the easiest just to find pictures online and cut them out. There are tutorials on how to cut them out the best (render them) in the tutorial section down below.
Well a lot of them could be taken from trailers, which are available for download. Also, when the game is being developed, it's made on a computer [usually 20-30 computers]. Welcome to GR, Ivy. Enjoy your stay
Rendering = seperating it for the background completely. P.S Almost fell alsleep when i read you "Shouldn't and should" part.
thanks, i do hope i enjoy my stay.... so maybe i was using the term wrong, sorry about that... PS i do know how to render, sorta, well, not really, i just suck at it...
