Yep me too. I think its because of the vinegar, it cleans it out good
Well that makes sense with Hydro's suggestion about lemons. Both are acidic. Orange juice will work just as well too.
does the acidic stuff do anything bad to the metal? like will it eventaully wear it down or w/e??? i will try the vinegar if not
Coke works wonders on metals too...(the soda) You may be surprised at how well Coke can clean metals. After all, Coke does contain three different acids.
Acids can eat metal, but being a citric acid with the lemons and vinegar, you would have to leave the tags in there for a long time (weeks) so overnight or 2 should be fine.
should be fine, you can also get some metal polish from the hardware store next time your parents or you go.
what works on everything OXI CLEAN...just thought about that one but have you seen the commericals for that cleans just about everything
i dont know if this is true but i heard you piss on it then clean the piss off with shampoo... dont ask where i heard it
That also works for corrosion on car batteries. So imagine what it does to your stomach.
your saliva protects for from acids....
Lemon juice will always work it never did anything to my step-dad's dog tags and hes had them for over 25 years.
