Yeh checking the forum will not help.

Unless they give out a BETA test like very little do, you will have to get a REAL job at the company.

Plus, it would not just be GAME TESTER, you must know other stuff, most are Graphic Artist, and no i dont mean sigs...i mean CGI, real stuff that you must go to a college or university to learn....

Beta testing takes a LOT more knowledge than most people think. It's not just a job where you play games and get paid for it, you need game programming knowledge as to know what sort of problems to look for and you are being paid to search out bugs, not play the game.

    What everybody else said...

You'd need background knowledge in graphic design and/or programming to be a beta tester, since all you'd be doing is finding bugs, imbalances, bad AI, leaks in the architecture, whatever. So yeah, "doing 150 times the same corridor" pretty much sums it up.

I'd probably hate that job, actually.

Yes I have read all about it about 2-3 hours worth and no you dont have to be a programmer to test games and yes I know its not as easy as everybody thinks thats why like I said that I read up on it for about 2-3 hours. Yes for larger companies you have to go to a build ing to test but thats not really what im looking for maybe just a little copany or something.

my sisters bf was a tester for ESPN games, testing "ESPN Baseball" and "ESPN Hockey" it was fun for the first month or two, he even met Magic Johnson. But they started giving him bull---- hours like "4pm to 3 am". He just felt crappy, and got bored of games so he quit

and he didnt have any past knowledge of gaming or programming.
