Hey I just had a question (mainly for the admins at GR). How did you guys become so big? I mean, what did you guys do to get so many members? Did you just advertise on the internet or post your tutorials at good-tutorials? Also how long have you guys been a forum to get this big? Thanks, Voodoo
Well, I know that they have been around for rougly 1 1/2 years now. Because they first started this in April 2004.
Well on pixel2life whilst looking for some tutorials i came across a tutorial from this site..i checked more of the forum out and thought it looked like a very nice and organised site so i decided to join...i know of others that found this site through the tutorials submitted on pixel2life. So my conclusion would be yes the tutorials and advertising on the internet and other sites have contributed to the ammount of members here
yeah I guess it has a lot to do with how the site looks too. I mean, I'm sure if GR was some crappy bad-hosted site, they wouldn't be big no matter how much they advertised.
I don't make grunge and abstract sigs simply because I got bored of them and I wanted to try out something else new and exciting so i gave up that and went onto Vector Art and photo manipulation. But gamerenders is still the best Graphics Design Forum. I always go in General Discussion and Computing because there's some interesting topics and people reply fast
yeah renders i was lookin for them on google when i came across this site i joined cuz there was like a crap load of renders here + its a great community
I would say advertising on tutorial sites and having a large supply of renders are the two main reasons the forum got so large.
Viagra.... lol nar but serious cuz the tuts but i fouind it searchin Renders and i got it plain and simple
Its nice how big it is but i don't like the spammers :/ i think mostly because so much stuff was used from here on other sites it just ended up becoming a little power house
