Save As .png Or .jpg?

    umm no its not only for transparency.

    i still save my sigs as GIF's

    I always save any final copy as a .PNG, I have no idea why, but i think it's better quality, but thats just me.

    a normal size, no popout jpeg at highest quality is the same thing and smaller file size than a png. there's really no reason to be saving as .png unless you have to have transparency.

    i only save as png if i want to have a transparent background.

    I have always saved my sigs in PNG... dont know why but i do.

    Almost ever body is going to tell you .png its got a lot better quality!

    i mean wtf. READ MORE THAN ONE POST

    i just showed an example that png and jpeg are the same exact thing for non transparent images, and jpg has better compression.

    i always save as .png-24 i dont know why :P and i dont care

    People say .PNG has better quality but I don't see no difference?

    .png >> .gif

    .gifs are garbage compared to Pngs pngs give lower file sizes when saved for 8bit color. They also allow for better transparency control. as for .gifs and animation... .mng owns all.

    why png owns .jpg for quality.

    all .jpg file size advantage comes at a cost to quality. it may nto be noticeable, but if you are sendign files for modification, .jpg is nto acceptable.
