    1. Make simple posters in word or illustrator. Don't go over the top.
    2. Make posters for school events E.G. School plays, car washes, other clubs, fund raisers...
    3. Start looking at tutorials. Have people teach each other.

create a mini-curriculum, and act professional

teach the noobs some easy stuff in PS and they'll be hooked

create logos for the schools website, maybe design a new template for your schools website

Great idea btw... I'm pretty new to design and I would love a club like this at my school! I suggest you do like Sig of the week with theme, than you can see who are the best and make them explain how they did some effect to the others and then the rest of the club can try it and tell him how he could improve his skill with suggestion and comment. After some time, you will know who are the best and make them teach some stuff to the new and vice-versa.

Really depends on what limits are on the school comps and what gfx software is on them.

I know most schools, have blocked site lists, can't download stuff etc. Some brushes won't work on certain versions of ps etc etc

Just little things really that can be annoying, to start it off I'd show them the basics of photoshop, little demos on what some of the tools do, then just take them through a full sig tut.

Well, for posters, they should be something simple but cool. If its all cluttered like most sig, people arent as likely to notice it. you need VERY EASY TO READ text.

Alright...i got something to add, first of all our school ONLY has Photoshop Elements, we're not familiar with it and dont know about its capabilities. Does anyone know anything about it (PSE)? If you can, be specific such as what kind of filters it has, can it support custom brushes off the net etc...

Also post useful stuff, criticism is not needed because whats done is done.

Make a vector-based design to advertise the club, for your poster, etc.

under any circumstances, do not teach them sigging.

it will get them nowhere, instead teaching them design basics then move up into wallpapers.

    have questions?
    need help?

    add my msn:
    sleepys.msn[at]gmail.com

infact i will teach a class via skype if you want.

Well arent the techniques for sigging similar to that of the wallpaper but only on a smaller scale?
