I just got a job and basically did every damn thing that BFTP said when I went for my interview... it's like I read his mind. But when you fill out your application don't continously call or go to the store so you can talk to the manager and ask if there are any openings. If they need someone they will look through the apps. It bugs most people when you keep asking.
Yup, but some places actually test you and see if you'll actively pursue the job. I personally say that if you haven't heard a word in 3 days, phone them, or stop by personally and ask.
Well I approached my manager several times at the store. The first time to intoduce myself and let him know I applyed. The rest were just to ask him how he was doing. I did not bring the job up though. I didn't want to seem as if I was begging to be hired.
