/fail real gamers play on computers and as for games Asus is a great brand. There are some on that website you should check them out before you decide.
PC gamers have such stupid complexes. Just get an Xbox if you really want to game. PC gaming is pretty much dead. You can waste 300 and have something for over 4 years with great graphics or you can buy a machine now (those ones in the links are decent at best) and have to upgrade every year. The minute you purchase a computer, even if it has the most ridiculous tech, it'll be obsolete the moment it's yours.
PC gaming is nowhere near dead... your stupid for saying that, xbox is for casual gaming mainly except for fighting games, It's barely used for FPS. FPS is huge for PC and starcraft is the most played game on the planet... A.K.A. you play that on the PC = PC gaming > xbox360... (biggest competitive play) xbox is Fighting Racing Call of duty PC gaming World of Warcraft Counter-Strike 1.6 Counter-Strike Source (horrible game but stupid people still play it) Call of duty (and a couple other FPS games) Starcraft PC gaming is nowhere near dead. If anything xbox + ps3 + wii is dead compared to the amount of gameplay on a PC. starcraft alone brings over 500,000,000 gamers onto the PC. all u need is a 1g video card high numbered nvidia and ur good for the next 5 years, tech gets better but you can still play fine with minimal even if you wanna play professional. 4-6g off ddr3 ram 250g hard drive (dont even really need that) quad-core processor and a decent motherboard n your fine for the next 5-7 years on good to minimal play. which is fine if your playing casual. if you play competitive you'll have too upgrade but that's like playing pro hockey or soccer, its equipment that helps you play better when its new and the best quality to your prefference. ^^ the video cards are completely horrible, you can still play videogames but the quality and gameplay wont be that great.
$1500 for my Gaming Rig. $400 for my Xbox 360. Computer going on 5 years strong. 360 red ringed 4, count em', 4 times. Currently non-warrantied and sitting in my closet, broken. You spend the extra money when buying a computer on applications like Photoshop (Which nobody here uses) Lest we forget people need their 60" plasma televisions to play on, which costs you some extra doe. If we're on the subject of anything being stupid, you should just say gaming in general is stupid, which it is, yet we still do it. "PC Gaming is dying." People have been saying that since Dreamcast came out. Repeating that phrase only boasts PC gaming's track record. Now that we've got the irrelevant bullshit out of the way... I wouldn't pick either of those computers. If you're heart is really set, just buy a graphics card and get someone to install it for you, if you can't.
I also recommend the Mark1... it's wonderful for games like watch the blinking light, and how far can you throw the hardware.
Meh i have a Xbox and a PS3 but you still need a decent PC! my GFX card is dying and i dont really want to spend £400 odd for a new one so might aswell get a new tower! lol
Console gaming is *far* more popular in the Asian culture, computer gaming is *far* more popular in the Western culture. Europeans traditionally follow the same suit as Western. Also, my computer cost me about ~$1500 up front, about ~$800 every 5 years or so, including repairs (which I haven't needed since I built my computer). Not to mention practical uses for the computer outside of gaming which consoles are not capable of. Don't get me wrong at all, I have a PS3, Xbox 360 and a Wii, and I play at least one of them weekly (generally the 360, sometimes the PS3, rarely the Wii), so I'm not some computer fan boy. Moving forward which console you prefer or is more popular or in demand is largely based on the genre of game you want to play. If you want FPS, War, Horror, generally more mature games then go with the 360. If you want more teen-oriented games, blue ray, rpg, tactics, strategic, etc. games then the PS3. If you want more children (not to say everything is children) and family oriented gaming then the Wii. If it is your goal to meet people online and play in large multi-player settings then computer gaming can't be beat. As far as the topic at hand both of the computers have a solid starting point for more recent games, but you would definitely want to upgrade the video card. You won't be matching your system against anyone who built their system for gaming, but it won't be extremely detrimental to your play for most games.
no thoughs are not very good at all i built my own gaming comp for 800 bucks, iv had it for a year now and with now problems specs Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz Power supply: OCZ StealthXStream OCZ700SXS 700W Memory: 2048MB RAM Hard Drive: 159 GB Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 5670 Sound Card: Speakers (High Definition Audio Device) Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255) Motherboard: ASUS Computer Case: NZXT APOLLO so far it has plaid anything a throw at it. i get all my pc stuff here http://www.newegg.com/ only site i trust for parts
