It has come to my attention that some users do not appreciate the time I spend reviewing pieces here in the forums.

If you want me to stay off the forums, vote GO, if you want me to tick around, vote STAY.

I'm here because 1... I've been here since day 1. And 2. being 20 in the professional design community like you said is a bit "off." But being part of an online community in my own age range is a breath of fresh air.

However, name calling, flaming, and other BS going un-moderated and being contributed to by the sites current and previous staff make the experience here very distasteful.

This site has the user base and content to be a high-traffic design community for young designers and gamers. And speaking from my profession, a negative user experience turns people away, and they don't come back. ;)

the only problem they have with you is you keep referring to your degrees.
But this isn't a professional designing community, they do it for fun.
You have been registered for a while, but you haven't been a real active part of the community all the time, and now you've decided to become an active member, and thats fine by me & everyone else on here. But you come in like a mister big shot, and start reading everyone his lesson. you keep going on about your degrees yet you cant seem to back it up.

If you would post up some portfolio to back-up your story and stop taking everything so seriously, because were all here to have some fun and maybe learn a thing or two. like when you give CnC, you've got a nice topic going there, but for example you give some comment on the image quality. people on here dont really care about that stuff, it just needs to look good and if it doesnt they want to know how to make it better.

dont get me wrong, i appreciate what you doing over here, but we aint the problem.
In short instead of trying to be a part of the group you try to rule the group, thats the problem.

The only thing I had a problem with was flat out telling one user that they shouldn't do design, which was just being an ass. Other than that, you should expect as much from a CnC thread. It's one person's opinion; of course you won't agree with everything. It should be as thorough as possible, though; that's what helps the most.

You all might say oh he's doing this and that, but I haven't seen much kindness from anybody else in the community, either. Inverse in particular just resorted to name calling and he wasn't the only one. How about we act like adults and put this behind us? If somebody is a little egotistical, it doesn't take much to ignore them.

    Draaaamaaaaa. QQ more, Mr Pro.

I've been a part of the design community at large for the last 2 years (Admining at GoMedia helped me meet a lot of designers) and many of them are either early 20s, or very welcoming to young designers. If you find yourself out of place in serious design communities, it's not because of your age. It's because of your immaturity, your pig-headedness, and your insistence acting as though you're better than everyone else.

I make my mind up about people pretty quickly, and I instinctively did not like you the moment I first saw you start posting.

Let's be honest, from a professional design point of view, you are pretty unqualified. AT&T's corporate flyer maker isn't exactly the job of the century design wise, and a 1 year paper at some school (that sounds like some kind of Naval Academy) of design hardly makes you a Professor in the subject. Much of what you have said about design is simply incorrect. Almost everything you've said about signatures is incorrect.

If you actually knew what you were talking about, you'd know that standard design rules don't apply the same to sigs as they do to print/web/digital media. You obviously never stuck around long enough to figure this out. The techniques used in sigmaking are techniques that take the shortest path. They're techniques that simply wont work on larger canvases (which is why so many sig makers are intimidated by large pieces). If you come here with a basic knowledge of making promotional material for selling cellphones, you're not going to be an expert on sigmaking, I can guarantee it.

I've seen dozens of people just like you on this forum throughout my years here. I've seen them all crushed by the ban-hammer, or leave with their tail between their legs. Around here 'credentials' don't mean shit. You're judged by your fruits, not your claims.

Now post up some sigs, or just get the **** off these forums.

That's the way to revive a dying forum, kick one of it's most active members cause he causes a bit of controversy.

And you guys are wondering why it's dying in the first place?

I said stay because someone should never, ever, get kicked from a community they have actively spent a chunk of their life on. That's just bullshit.

Clash hasn't really spent long on here. No one even knew who he was when he came back a few months ago. TBH, most of his activity is giving incorrect C&C and bitching about Android.

I could care less either way.

I think Inverse hit the nail on the head perfectly and nothing more needs to be said.

As far as 'kicking him out', no one is doing that. He is asking if we want him to be here, and frankly if the community tells him to go I won't be surprised because I personally do not feel he has contributed positively to most of the topics he has posted in.
