Back when I joined, although rarely posted, it was huge, with at least a few hundred members online, now it's like a few members online at any one time, what happened? Did everyone leave or did something happen lol? I'm curious..

I have no clue. I had to register a new screen name, it would not let me log in. I noticed almost everyone else is gone too

There have been quite a few account issues with the swith to Vbulletin.
If you want a chance at your old account again, feel free to pm me some details.

Otherwise, yes this site has gone down in activity but that has as much to do with all you guys as with the staff.
There needs to be contribution from both. We as staff are working on our part at the moment, so we hope to see some more activity from you guys as well in the future.

And as a final note, please do stop creating such topics. We may have moved to vbulletin, but shockingly, this also has a little thing called a search function...

Because there's no incentive for the members to stay around. You can say it's the members' faults, but lets be honest... Members won't stick around without a reason to. Give us something.

When it comes down to it, blame can easily be thrown around at anyone. It's a matter of fixing it, not complaining about it.

Well, I stick around for the company. Right now the biggest factor for me to stop visiting isn't a lack of activity, but too much activity from noobs and retards who feel that they need to be so unique they can't use white text colour.

My bad I should've used the search function. Anyway, surely with over like 50K members there would still be a huge load of activity. I mean did the forum software change over take a while or something? I remember when there used to be (500 members online, and like 1,500 guests online) this was definitely the biggest and best GFX site on the net, I never thought anything would change tbh.

Anyway, my bad. Lock this if you like..

We need the points and the market back... that is why i donated back in the day because this site used to be the best gfx site on the net because everything could be sold and the points were worth real money and it was a perfect spark for this site.. you need to work as hard as you can to get that back as soon as possible cause once its back alot of people will start posting more..

Points might come back yes, might...

As far as complaining goes; I'm not really complaining actually. It just bugs me that everyone always points out the obvious.
We are working out some ideas and stuff and hopefully they will suffice to bring back some activity.

One thing on the points and selling gfx though: that was a few years ago when the Gfx communities were still sprouting up like mad and everyone was doing signatures and things. These days though, people have moved on from that and it's not enough anymore to do simple sig tuts.
So we need to go outside it a bit, but that takes time to think of and to put it in practice :)

One thing i'd like to suggest is even back in 2005 when I joined the front page was still what it is today. Maybe a nice layout or portal with news and easy access straight to the forums or something? Because that first impression on the front page makes it looks pretty boring and doesn't really instantly make anyone think "wow i'm signing up".

I think with summer coming up you'll see peoples free time sky rocket and find alot of members will come on and get back into things..well I hope anyway.

Front page is being worked on. We plan on intergrating vbulleting with wordpress there.
Thing for that is that we're sorta waiting on Shaggy and with his schedule... :p
