What is your favorite anti-virus software and why? Mine has to be Spybot Search and Destroy. I like it because its free and it lets you know everytime a change is made to the computer. And if your a CoD fan you will notice the 'Search and Destroy' part lol.

McAfee in my eyes. It doesn't really affect my computers speed and nearly doesn't take as much of RAM as Norton does for example.

I get like, one virus a year though.
Only have an anti-virus program to secure my banking and college files tbh.

I personally use Nod 32. Works pretty well, and once in a few months I run hitman pro through my PC. Also a anti virus program with allot of programs in it that's runs through the whole pc and removes every spyware/virus.

The best at this moment seems to be G-Data. I also work at an electronics store, so I'm informed about anti virus software, since that's also my department. Seems G-Data managed to be the best anti virus detector in 2 years in a row now. I don't know what it was, but it was atleast >95% of all virusses were detected, more than all other programs.

lol no firewall or anti-virus, not connected to the internet, so no fear of hackers.

though when i was on the internet i used McAfee only a few popups annoyed me, Nortan was too RAM consuming. can't remember what else i had either i kno i had like 2 firewalls and 3 anti-virus/virus scanners.

but my cousins working on a nice little program to protect his comp, hes running into alot of problems due to its complexity.

I am deeply puzzled by this post. How does one become familiar with the art of posting on message boards minus an Internet connection? Please enlighten this forum with your feng shui.

Called BCC, but it only has stores in The Netherlands so you'll probably never heard about it.

Shit is always messed up. One time it's G-Data that's the best, then it's McAfee, then it's Norton and then it's suddenly Kaspersky.

They're all government conspiracies with the sole purpose to control our minds.

G-Data seems to dominate the anti virus software for a few years, wouldn't be suprised if it keeps to do that the coming years. Not a fan of Kaspersky, uneasy to work with. McAfee and Norton have much more the name that is known with people, unlike G Data, which is less known. Ah well, I use a cracked version of Nod32, I'm happy with it. Unlike other people, as ravr said, I know what to download, some morons don't and those are in need of paying approx. 60 euros a year for a good internet security.

    Mediamarkt ftw btw.
