Price Estimates

    i want price estimates on a server with this:

    -Intel Celeron 700 Mhz
    -5 GB Hard Drive
    -1 GB RAM
    -50 GB Monthly Transfer
    -cPanel
    -Redhat Linux
    -Remote Access to server
    -Shell/SSH Acess
    -24/7 Hardware monitoring

    I'd go for a better processor though...

    $9.99, is that about £7?
    Sounds about right i think, although yes i would say use a slightly better processor, if not just for image's sake.

    £5 or less, get a few queries at once and the thing will crash because of that processor.

    Nah, rates have changed a lot. $9.99 is just over £5 - Better for us Brits! ;)

    a slow AMD XP processor, at least... Intel just doesnt make good cpus... AMD will last you longer..

    (I use Intel processors myself, but thats only because i got them in a cheap bundle)

    no server costs $10/month

    whats your price range for a server? i can try and find a deal

    whats the point of getting a slowass server if you just want 5 GB space/50 GB bandwidth?... shared hosting on a faster server would cost much less

    About £5.60 to be more exact man :D
    Rates have gone down.
    Mind you, a typical server like that would be a bit cheaper than that i think nowadays.

    Well, go to invivio-host.com and check there rates. It's a shared server but hey...

    yea no server costs $10 a month
    shared servers sounds best for what you need

    i was looking for a server for my web hosting cus i dont want to bang up the main server. so you're saying if someone ran like IPB it'll die?
