Ok. So attached is a screenshot of my processes. I need to know which ones are legit, and which ones are spyware & crap.

I wake up this morning, and my dad tells me he was "surfing the web". So I go downstairs, run spybot S&D and Ad-Aware, and theres over 100 cases of spyware. If you know of any other really good spyware/ virus cleaner, clue me in.

There are also pop-ups for IE. Is this spyware too? I use Opera and never use Inernet Explorer.

I would beware of mssearchnet.exe but run Spybot it's a brillant tool just remember to update it and disable system restore before spyware removal.

    or better yet, go here:

    www.answersthatwork.com

when it opens up, click on the button that says task list, this will have everything in alphabetical order (it'll be more clearer when you click on it).

It lists the majority of processes run by the computer that you would find although alot of the more recent ones aren't listed so I can tell you that some of the things listed you can turn off.

The realsched you can turn off, the soundman.exe (I assume you have an ASUS motherboard since mine has that as well), the ipod and itunes service ones too and the wdfmgr.exe are to name but a few.

If you want to stop these from starting up goto your start bar and click on run, in that type msconfig and when the box appears goto the last tab (says startup I think) and from there decide what ones that you want to turn off. WARNING: DO NOT turn off anything that you are unsure about, post here again for safety if you are not sure.

    Hope this helps
