True. Longhorn sounded kind of stupid but more mysterious. We all know that now its going to stay Vista, and Microsoft isn't going to change it.
Microsoft would just pay people out of their asses to get the rights or clearance to use the name. They might've run into issues with "Longhorn" from the University of Texas people or something. Granted that is alot smaller than any company with Vista, but who knows.
this is the stupidest thing ive ever heard....like me suing matt hoffman for naming his company/bikes after my last name and stealing it for use of his corperate empire whose sole purpose is the rule the world....no.... but microsoft will jam their pie holes with enough money regardless...
It's ridiculous, and I'm surprised they even bothered reporting this. I think Microsoft should change the name though, but only cause I think it's crappy. I actually like it's codename better.
Vista sucks anyway. But we all know they are going to keep it , so we better learn to live with it. By the way , did you see that link to techworld on Gamespot ?
Even if the names were copyrighted M$ would win anyways because of the suck ass system. $$$ = 100% sure win. Just take Michael Jackson and OJ Simpson for example.
