Im thinking about getting the game and wondering how much more stuff does factions and nightfall add?

If you want to compete at top PvP (GvG or HA) they are a must for the skills. Although you can aslo buy the skills in the online shop I think.

They also add 2 complete new worlds which are as big as the original one. That and a few professions.
Oh and also Hero's (controlable henchman).

Factions has Assassin/Ritualist Professions, Nightfall: Dervish/Paragon.
Besides that, there are added skills (essential for PvP), maps/campaign play, and as mentioned Nightfall introduces Heroes (customizable henchmen).

If you have Proph at the current time, I'd recommend Nightfall or Eye of the North - as both are more recent and in my opinion the top two campaigns produced. Factions is a bit hard to play through more than once of me (personal opinion) :P

Guild Wars is a very entertaining series, especially when you consider the fact that there's no pay-by-month or anything of that nature.

Prophecies is the only one I own at the moment, and I'm having a good time with it, though I definitely recommend getting either Factions or Nightfall at the same time for the extra character slots, professions, skills and areas.

Nightfall/factions is only 20 bucks at Microcenter all this month. I'm thinking of picking up Nightfall, so I can get my sexy Altair look-alike.

Also I play Prophesies and EOTN. my highest is like a warrior/healer-person-thing and its like 11 or so idk.

I have nightfall, its a pretty good game but i find myself going to the same places to offten , and i became confused :P

I got prophesies / factions / nightfall and eye of the north

if you ever need a hand or want to ask anything im sure i can help you out or even play along with you
i have 10 level 20 chars one of each profession
and have completed all the chapters several times
plus elite areas such as fow / uw / doa / slavers etc

more of a pve player myself but sometimes find myself in ab with guildies

I'd personally get Nightfall over Factions just because they add the Dervish. And they have some beastly builds, but pretty much "endgame" you'll need um all for the builds requiring skills from all expansions.
