What font? Your internet-viewing font or your font in a graphics program?

Highlight the text after it has been written, and then go up to the tool bar. Change the fontsize (their is a box that should have a number it in) raise the number until it gets to a size you like. You may have to hit enter after each change for it to take effect.

    problem solved... hopefully ^_^

just make sure your resolution is ALWAYS 72 pixels/inch

if you are working on a document with a different resolution, you can go to EDIT > IMAGE SIZE and change the resolution to 72 pixels/inch

Thanks cheeky, I always have that problem but I never change the setting, I wonder how they change by themselves.

I would never touch the resolutions or any of the confusing gab on photoshop because I am pretty much just asking for trouble.
