Some games advise closing down virus scanners while you play to stop the game from crashing, One game I can remember that asks this is James Bond Nightfire.

Yeah make sure your graphics card is getting enough power, they tend to really put a drain on the psu when playing big games. Dont get a generic brand, get a nice 580watt known brand. Also close down ANY and ALL running programs that you dont need CTRL+ALT+DELETE and close everything you know is safe to close down down.

    580 a bit extreme. A 400/450 runs almost all things :)

Games suddenly crashing sounds like a graphics card problem. More commonly it will be DirectX games that crash out like this. What games do you play that crash like this?

Make sure you have proper cooling too. If the video card/processor get to hot it will start shutting stuff down.

It definitely sounds like your card is overheating.

Might be heat issues, ive gotten that before.

Try formatting if its not the heat.
