Ive finally got my own copy of Photoshop CS YAY :D but once i installed it on my PC I realized how slow it was going. I'm currious how much ram you guys have on your PCs to make it run smothly, or if its just some other problem that I have. I am on XP with 512 ram, I think my prosscer is around 1.8 ghz i have no idea what the actuall speed is though. anyways, thanks much

Did you diable "Adobe Gamma Loader" from startup? If you haven't then The Loader will use up alot of ram and slow your box down considerably.

Do the following to check to see if Adobe Gamma Loader is in startup:

    Start> Run

Type in "msconfig" without the quotes and this will bring you to "System Configuration Utility"

Go to "Startup" which should be the last tab and go down the list until you find "Adobe Gamma Loader".

If it is checked, then uncheck it and reboot computer.
