I personally am for XML since you can make complete sites from a single XML document, and have the sickest site around its so SIMPLE too! Also check out my latest tutorial for XML: http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=17701
I use CSS alot because you are left with lot less work and lot less document overhead, such as numerous font tags and graphic image spacers. Documents will be cleaner, much easier to manage, and load and render much more quickly as a result of CSS.
I like PHP better. Only 'cos I know that and HTML, but I'm trying to learn Visual Basic. PHP has a shitload of stuff that it can do.
lets see i know enought html with a hint of php and some vb so i am not in the position to vote at this time.
i only know html (yes i suck lol) and i incorporate shtml whenever i want.. ill be learning asp and php in the summer
I only know HTML at the moment, i'm a few weeks i'm getting a book on CSS and trying to learn PHP after that.
Well, of course you can do everything in any language, it just is how easy it is (Yes, you can do everything in HTML). I'm just saying it would take too long to learn the whole frame of ASP to just do something simple with it.
You can't do everything in HTML, sorry first off you can't make an e-mail form since you need a script running to send it. Trust me, I bought a refrence book for HTML and it details all the tags and what they do, and it clearly states that HTML is just a base, and languages like PHP and uses of ASP or ASP.net are meant to expand on its capabilities... personally PHP may be a lil bit faster but ASP is more secure, and right now I think this was a good idea to post shows me that I should learn PHP
