try hyping yourself up, hopefully that will override the nerves, other than that all i can say is just jump into it, you'll get a rush and feel well good after it haha, nah it will e cool just think of yourself as really good

Just be cool, everyone plays their perferred instrument, and not all play the bass guitar, so just go out jam it and call it a day.

After the first 4-5 notes, you should be ok, the start is really hard, but then you get the beat and you forget about everyone and its like a normal repetition xD.

Before I had my first gig, I took some ummm "recriational drugs"... but then again I'm a singer/growler so it might make it harder for you to play.

Singers and growlers for the win, but bass player rock also, just take deep breath and go for it man, you have to have some sort of nerves or you'll just look bored :P

Do what everyone has been saying, and after your first time the second is a breeze.
