Cd Drive Replacement

i have to replace a cd drive on a laptop and need some help on how to take the original drive out, put the new one in and all that good stuff

model of laptop? different makes have different ways of swapping em...

im not sure, it is an off brand that we got from a friend and want to fix up.

i'd say just open it up, it can't be that hard to figure out

thats what i did, i eventually got it out to find that the part i got would not fit with it, but at least i know what to do now. thanks
