you need a chequing account in order to use it on your Paypal account.

If you have money in your bank then go to your paypal, and transfer funds. Enter the ammount of money you'd like to transfer from your bank to your Paypal account, and it will occur in 6-8 days(Canada) or 3-6 days(America)

thats if its not a debit card, just a regular checking account.

debits just work from your checking account and they are automatic. the only difference between a debit and credit card is that credit cards allow you to spend as much as you want as long as you pay it back after 1 month (or you get interest), whereas debit cards limit you to the money you have that you can spend so you dont go over budget and get into debt.

i was just saying that if you have a chequing account, it works as well. The bottom part of a cheque has a serial number, branch number, etc.(all this is needed in order to become a verfied user(one able to transfer funds).

If you have a bank account then you can register with paypal, you just can't do instant transfer (you'd have to do a bank transaction type deal which takes 5 business days).

For signing up purposes, debit cards will work exactly like credit cards. That's all you need to know based on what you were asking. As mentioned earlier, the difference between debit and credit is debit is for money that you already have, and comes from your bank account. Credit is for money you don't have, and you'd have to pay that money back if you used your credit card.
