One of my professors turned me on to this nifty studio of software that is basically an open-source (meaning FREE!) rival to the microsoft works studio. This program includes: A word processing utility. A program for making slide presentations. A vector drawing program. A spreadsheet program. A math function creator. & A database program. And did I mention it's FREE. I needed to use excel to turn in some project assigned in my algebra class and I had never used the program... so I asked my hardware professor and he recommended this since you can save in excel format which is what I have to turn in. Hurray for freeware. Spread the word. Get the program here.
Cool.. Just a question, I probly wont switch over to it but whats the vector thing about really? Examples?
vectoring is like free hand drawing on your pc. to see examples of vectors see http://www.lifeinvector.com
^nope you can kind of do that in photoshop however you will always lose some quality when making an image bigger.

Idk if this is cool or not, but the company that owns the rights to openoffice(Sun Microsystems) is teaming up with Google to make a online word processor.
