best AGP card is an x1950XTX. for the same cost though you could get a new PCI-e board AND an x1950xtx...
what was your budget for a card? what's your current system? the x1950XTX is still a good card, it's just a bit overpriced in the AGp form
right now budge would be 500$ for a new comp but I plan on saving 1500$ minimum for a brand new comp. The video card i have is a Ati Radeon x 1650 --- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814195031 system: current I can play most games but wouldnt mind a better frame rate. i know i need to buy memory at some point
Consider buying more ram for a cheap upgrade? Other than that I don't think a new video card will help a lot
Ive been looking at prices and it would be cheaper to build a new then upgrade this memory. 184 pin pc 3200 1gig: 59.99$ 240 pin pc2 6400 2gig: 65.99$ x1950XTX video card agp: 223.99$ pci e: 199.99$ prices are so much higher for older comps its not worth it to upgrade them. all prices were from newegg
it's because the older parts are largely out of production due to higher costs and as such the stock of them is relatively low despite relatively high demand.
