I had a PS2, but never had an XBOx, and I bought the 360 Elite......interesting how that works. I thought the PS2 was a pile of ----, to be honest. I am not a big fan of sony as a whole. The only thing they make that is even remotely good, is their TV's

As for the whole XBOX's break, thing... Mine is fine, never had a problem with it.....if you follow the heat advisories, you shouldn't have an issue, and, if you lay it down horizontally, the heat ventilates better....

For some reason people like to leave it standing straight up, wich is very bad for the console and the disc in the drive lol...
Off the top of my head of games that are not shooters...
    Forza(xbox exclusive)
    PGR(xbox exclusive)
    Nascar(all you could want....)
    Moto GP
    Burnout series
    Dirt
    Fatal Inertia
    Flat Out
    Hot Wheels
    Juiced 2
    NFS Series
    Test Drive Series

Thats 12 right there, non shooters.
    Plus several RPGs, Strategy, ect...

uses archaic GPU which has poor anisotropic filtering algorithms and is incapable of simultaneously rendering an image with high range dynamic lighting and antialiasing unless such is done through SM2 which is basically an obsolete set of instructions.

read speed on the blu ray drive is slower than that of conventional DVD drives.

then you could argue a lack of RAM but the PS3 and xbox both have identical amounts of RAM so that's basically nothing in that case

In france, if you call Microsoft and tell them your controller/ 20Go drive/head set is broken, microsoft just send you a new one without asking for proofs.

They are so rich that they don't care. So XBOX FTW !!!!!

    I said the above^ :\

Also the PS3 tends to bottleneck on scenes with excessive explosions and little bits are flying everywhere, but thats what the reset button is for right?
But no one cares about the speed of blue ray, all they care about is quality right? Thats why none of the blue ray movies/discs ever sell at walmart
Besides the fact the major price difference, what a pack of 30 DVDRW for 30-40 dollars, or 2 Blueray for 50? No thank you...

Actually, to combat this xbox 360 is all shooters thing. I'll go through my games collection.

    Non FPS :

    Enchanted Arms
    Ninety Nine Nights
    Burnout Revenge
    Dead or Alive 4
    King Kong
    Mass Effect
    Assassins Creed
    Bullet Witch
    Tomb Raider Legends
    Moto GP 06
Need for Speed ; Most Wanted
    Viva Pinata
    Xmen
    G.R.A.W
    Gears of War
    Dead Rising
Oblivion (Might be first person, but it's damn well not a shooter)
    Lost Planet
    Kameo
The Lord of the Rings : Battle for Middle Earth
    Devil May Cry 4

Sorry, I'm just tired of this "Xbox is only FPS" argument, because it's completely unfounded. Know why? PS3 desperately needed a way to fight back against the 360 so they latched onto the most popular game, IE Halo. "Ohnoes it's all FPS" Bull----, no it isn't.

    Hmmm fanboyism.

The PS3 really doesn't doesn't have any good exclusives... yet.
LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear, and the new FF's all look excellent.

However.... those won't be out for a while and I have no intentions of buying a PS3 'til at least one of the FF games comes out.
Last I read that would be in 2010.

Until then I will be playing my Xbox 360 (with Xbox Live, much better than the PS3 Online). =]
    Fable 2... fall... can't wait!

g4ylo is crap .. just that so many 'fanboys' play its dam unbelievable lol

ok let me rephrase .. i didnt say 360 is plainly shooters .. in fact it has mostly action games but the main games that are praised on XBOX ARE shooters and worth playing

I havent had a chance of playing any racing games besides PGR & forza on 360 .. both good :)

1/ Fanboys who appreciate that the game is actually a shining example of how to make a well crafted, good, solid FPS yet all the PS3 owners (Who are inheretely, jealous, even if they don't like the game) or indeed a lot of 360 owners hate Halo for one big shining reason, guess what? Because it's popular. Stop being such a trendwhore.

2/ Our shining games are shooters? Ehm...Halo, Bioshock....ehm....ehm...yeah...Mass Effect? No. Oblivion? No. Majority of our most popular games? Ehm, No.
