I like knowing what the artist was thinking when I see the finished product. Your vision is clear here, not random at all. All the elements come together cohesively to make a nice piece. Props for that. The concept was well executed.

As for the typography... White (in my opinion) should only be used over solid colors, not textured backgrounds. The orange WIRES type doesn't fit in with the color scheme.. it "clashes" :p. I'd go with something more muted.

Cut-out looks good. However, I think you ODed on the pink. monotone pieces like this work best with more mute coloring. Usually in PS, I'll drag the slider to 50% gray (#CCCCCC) then slightly out to the right. Then play with hues depending on what color tint i'm going for.

Highlights are nice. I like that the highlight on the shoulder isnt pure white, but it is in the hair and on the flower...use your curves adjustment to fix that. The moon is fine as pure white as a focal point.

Typography is interesting...but bordering on an illegible font.

    I give it 6/10

Hmm impressive.. not to many people like to give out C&C.

Since I'm just gettin back into the whole SIG thing I'll take a little C&C :)

You don't have to C&C em all if it's to much.
    Thanks for doing this.

Mixed media seems to be a fad here. (CGI renders, mixed with photographs, mixed with paint...etc...)

I'm a fan of abstract mixed media...but this is a bit over kill. There needs to be some consistency in any piece. (not picking on you, just a general statement)

Coloring here is wonderful. Great contrast within the imagery...however this doesn't leave room for a focal point (something eye catching) It's important for something (usually your name) to stand out.

As for the type here... I'd lose the cursive text. It crowds the main copy.

Also, keep hierarchy in mind. EX:

    Helix
    Josh Ritter

Your header should look more prominent to your sub-head.

All in all...I'd say this could have been executed more clearly, but your end product isn't terrible.

Might be one of my favorite so far in this post.

The concept is clear. Color is simplistic and effective. Type could be bigger...maybe... The best part of it is that it says something, and it's clear what it says.

I do like the cut-out...I just wish it didn't fade at the bottom, it's unneeded. "Attack" type is great, but "Foe" is a little hard to see.

As for coloring, i'd play with some shadows do bring out some depth in the cut-out. The background looks deep, but the cut-out is very flat.

    4/10
