Avatar help..

    Hey!

    I know little of this kind of graphic work, so I am hoping someone can help me along. Let me first explain, what I wish to do.

    On this picture, I want to merge the Fig 1 (MAN), with the background. So it looks more like he is actually there..

    *That it looks like he is walking out from the ruins...

    What can be done? so it looks more natural?

    The edges of the man? Light.. shadows.. etc..
    Also, do I put something infront of him?

    I have linked a PSD, so you can have a closer look. Perhaps show me some tools.. and tips.

    Some things to consider
    add a foreground.
    if it's a ruin, add some dirt.
    work to ensure lighting is consistent.
