    fruity loops is one of the best for this sort of thing...get it!

    Um there's also Hip Hip Ejay. It's purely for hip hop beats and has great samples.
    Sound mixing wise go with audition, I always make my own ringtones and stuff.

    Yeh whole ejay collection is quite handy. Then theres sony acid, which is similar to fl.

    In my opinion, Audacity is the best. Its VERY easy and has the features of a expensive program.

    fl is easy to use and so is audicity....at school i use audacity.....its good freeware

    Personally I think the best program out there for mixing is BPM Studio by ALCATech. Great program and fairly easy to use, it takes a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it you're set.
