Not really, it has a mobile processor, one of the first C2D processors... Is this a laptop or desktop and what's the price.

for a laptop it is OK, I have no idea how much it costs though. if it is 900$ish it isn't horrible, but nothign i would waste my money on.

remember, its Dells desktops which blow ass, with laptops, you can really cut costs like on desktops.

    http://www.alienware.com/Configurator_Page...ode=SKU-DEFAULT

get that default configuration and upgrade the ram yourself.

remember Core 2 duos are about 20% more powerful per GHz vs core duos/core 1 duos.

    its a laptop
it is around 1300 for me
he said he bought it for 3k but he will sell it to me for 1300

    is that good?

should i get it or just say no :(

    btw it is still unopened
the guy who bought it is a stanford graduate and never opened it and it has a warentee which can be transfered to me
he wants a mac now since where he works they use mac
so he is selling this computer unopened

anyways my budget is around 1500dollars
anything good i can get for around 1500 but still powerful will be good :)
    thanks guys

buy the alienware system i linked to, up the ram and you've got a better system for less. and I'm not suggesting alienware for anything but the pricing it is surprisingly competative if I do say so myself.

or go with what Xmaster linked to
