I've reviewed them all, tried to see if they were compatible, if one isn't please notify me.
the power supply is garbage. The point of a power supply is to deliver clean power to the components so that they work well. That power supply can't deliver good power past 150W or so. http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=PS-E5140GH I recommend the enhance enp-GH because it's a very good server grade PSU meant to deliver it's rated power 24/7 http://www.jonnyguru.com/review_details.php?id=24 I'm running a system which uses about twice as much power as yours on a comparable 400W PSU. Admitedly I don't have much headroom, but the point remains. Quality>quantity when it comes to not slowly frying your valuable components. also consider swapping the CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819116040 the celeron 420 is based off of the 'new' core 2 duo architecture. It uses less than half the energy of the old prescott based celerons and performs around 75% faster per Ghz. It also overclocks liek a champ if you want to in the future. you can EASILY run that Celeron 420 @ 3Ghz. and the video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814161060 http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_200...5&chart=318 ^the 8600GTS is slower than the x1950pro. The GTS is around 20% faster than the GT too. The Gt is rubbish^ the 8600s are basicaly 1/4th of an 8800, just like how the 2600s are 1/3rd of a 2900. both of the midrange cards from the generation of cards are a joke and their only purpose is to generate money for nVidia and ATi because they are really cheap to make. They have a slow 128bit memory bus and that kills performance. That's why last gens mid-highend cards usually beat them. They have a 256bit memory bus and aren't so crippled.
If you can, please supply me newegg links, from what happened last year i cannot trust different sites other than eBay or Newegg. And I've had some bad experiences with ATI cards, Nvidia is what im going for, nothing can change my mind about a 8600 GT. The CPU i might be thinking about.
you do realize I'm using a nVidia card right? an 8800GTS. The 8800GTS SMOKES the 8600GT. if you're insistant on a nVidia based card then... 7900GS. http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?art...2123&page=5 take a look, outside of 3dmark, the 8600s don't perform too well. 8800GTX has 128stream processors and a 384bit memory bus the 8800GTS has 32 and a 128bit memory bus. the 8600 basically just exists off the hype of the 8800s, TWO 8600GTSes in SLi can't even beat a single 8800GTS. and FYI one bad experience doesn't necessarily dictate every preceding one will be. also are you sure it was ATi? Both ATi and nVidia are fabless(as in they onyl design products they don't make them) they use the same fabs to make their chips, and then they sell the chips to 3rd party board makers. Was it ATi or the board maker? also can I ask why you believe the 8600GT is so good?(did you see it at a friends house? if so then have you seen any other mid-lowend cards lately? the 8600s are towards the bottom) Admittedly it does have high performance/watt, but it's overall performance is lackluster given other alternatives in the market. Both ATi and nVidia are trying to clear stock form their last gen products before they make better products this generation in the same price range. Take advantage. FYI a member here johnderpunk ordered a PSU form that site(the 500W version) I don't know of any good PSu deals on newegg TBH but if you want to look here's a ranking chart which is generally(but not always)accurate http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=108088 EDIT: this should be OK, not the best, but still decent, decent as in not top quality, better than what you'de find from the likes of Dell HP or the like. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817153052
Well at least a 8600 GTS will replace my good 'ol motherboard integrated graphics. Bottom line is, im getting a 8600 GTS now. BTW, that psu is great, im very thankful And hey, i just found out that my current hard drive is a Seagate Baracuda.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814127286 that's actually a fairly decent deal if you're willing to overclock the card. FYI the card covers OCing under warranty.
Maybe if you learned how to spell out your damn words right and stop recommending ---- psus people might take you serious. Also the amd doesnt have the overclocking potential that the intel does.
well im sry sounds like ur on the rag this week  i do happen to come on here high from time to time so f u c k U
lolz, just no offense its like playing some CSS on a zombie server with little kids that type just like you =p which annoys me a lot.
maybe not 40 but close to it http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819103052 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819103733 it will be better to have a duel then just a single my opinion
one's OEM and needs a heatsink bringin the price up a bit... he other is out of stock and priced close enough to the pentium dual core http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819116037 thougn I will say after thinking about it a sempron is probably better than a celeron 420, those suckers are cache crippled.
