some people choose it over windows, but my friend used it for a week or so and he couldnt really do anything cuz he was lost he said that he couldnt download anything either, idk if he was just retarded or if it was really confusing
I would really like to use it. But everyone who plays games is almost forced to use windows. You can always use dual boot for that but I don't like that. Note: whee it's snowing
If you are new to Linux then I suggest installing SuSE Linux 9.1 because it is much more user friendly. It is easy to configure a dual boot system using SuSE, so you don't have to go without Windows.
Linux- HAs been approved to have less virus attacks or just less viruses, linux is a lot more user friendly as said above, but (if your a gamer) it's mostly meant for hosting, not client side gaming.
Go and buy Mandrake now. Dont even speak until you buy it. The difference is unspeakable I even wrote a Language Arts report on switching to Linux insted of windows you could say I am a little upcessed...
you use either GIMP or a windows emulator so you can use PS... I have fedora core 3 on one of my systems though I will soo revert it back to windows, the truth be I need a few drivers for printers adapters etc. and I can not find/ procure them.
I would sugest having a linux machine or duel-boot with linux, Unlike windows i have never seen linux crash. A Proffesor at a uni sayed he used linux on his machines, working on it for 2 years, turned it off and the bootloader broke, cause linux store it in its memory. Just use windows for PS and games daz
i use Fadora Core 3 which is linux i use it for hosting stuff linux is good for hosting stuff and the gimp is good but if u game ur screwed with linux
gimp, rofl. Its pretty crap compared to PS, but i got a mate who works a graphic designer and he has a ps running on linux a - he found some piece of software that let you run PS on it...he prefers his macs tho =P
